The most important thing in your bedroom besides your bed is, your bedding. Here we’ll discuss the best materials for your bedding. You’ve spent good money and time curating your home to your design style it’s important that your bedroom is a place of rest and rejuvenation for you.

Luckily, there are so many options for comfortable and luxurious bedding; duvets, linen, comforters, etc.

There are some important factors to decide of first; are you a hot sleeper? Cold at night? Want the flexibility to change the color/material often? Knowing what you want with help you narrow down what is perfect for you.

Let’s start with duvet covers; these offer the most flexibility. They come in many styles, sizes, and materials. If you purchase a high quality duvet insert than you can change out the duvet covers based on your style or season preferences.

For hot sleepers you may want to opt for something that is 100% cotton. Cotton is also low maintenance and easily machine washable, but at the same time durable and will last a while. Cotton style bedding is very popular and easily accessible to any budget.

If you like to be bundled up and warm while you sleep a high fill power comforter is what you want. The higher the fill power the warmer your comforter will keep you. 500-600 will be great for those who like to be a little cooler when they sleep, 600-700 will bring more warmth, over 700 is the highest fill power and will be a great option for the colder months.

For those who don’t want to deal with a cover and an insert, opt for a comforter. If you’re not looking to change your style often and want to purchase just one options a comforter is a great choice. Comforters come in a variety of materials and sizes and in almost every color and design imaginable.

Material matters as well; goose down, white down, and duck down all provide different luxurious feels and benefits. Duck down is inexpensive but will be better for warmer weather and usually used with less filled comforters. Goose down is hypoallergenic and provides great warmth. White down is the most expensive but if very classic looking and easily fits into many design aesthetics.
